We also use social media to include our listeners thorugh our Facebook page, where listeners can see our playlists and through our Twitter, where listeners can follow us and the artists we follow. #hopeandgrace airs Saturday mornings from 9 am to 10 am. Tune in to start your weekend off right!

My name is Hope Evans and I am currently a sophomore at American University in Washington D.C. I am studying to obtain a BA in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Spanish Language and American Literature. I am originally from Selbyville, DE, where I grew up at the beach. Throughout high school, I spent time in the world of constructive media as much as possible as I had my own internet radio show, started a creative writing club, and tutored a young Hispanic boy in English and Spanish to further his reading skills. Today, at American University, I have continued my love of different media as I had a radio show named #hopeandgrace on WVAU.org and also wrote an advice column in the Lifestyle section of our school magazine, Amword. I also served as an intern for Coconut Times Entertainment Website and Magazine, writing lifestyle-based articles and restaurant and business reviews. In my future, I hope to learn more about media in our society today through various internship opportunities.

This past summer, I served as an unpaid intern for Coconut Times Entertainment Website and Magazine. I served as the writer for the OC Sounds Off article, a lifestyle article with topics of my choice. I was also given opportunity to visit and write restaurant reviews and one business review. I did my own interviews and obtained my own pictures for the articles. I served as an intern from May 2012 through August 2012.

Personal Interests

I currently am starting my own blog, A World of Hope, located at www.aworldofhope.wordpress.com. This, my personal blog's content, will deal with my relationship with Jesus Christ as my Savior and my walk with him through my college experiences. As an active member of Chi Alpha Campus Ministry on AU's campus, much of my posts will revolve around experiences in that organization. I am striving to be as clear and vulnerable as possible for my readers.

I have a heart for the topics involving women's hearts, Christian relationships, and a woman's identity in Jesus. In relation to that, I enjoy topics surrounding women's identity in general in American society and our world today.

I enjoy opportunities to be creative and think outside the box. I am a visually creative person with passion to make anything and everything visually palatable and appealing.

Language Interest

As I plan on minoring in both Spanish Language and Literature, I hope to be able to put these two interests of mine to good use in form of internships throughout my college career. In the Summer of 2010 and Spring of 2011, I had the opportunity of tutoring a young Hispanic boy in English and Reading skills at the second grade level. In my senior year of high school, I formed a creative writing club and created a blog for the group, which is constantly being added to even today.
