About Me...

I became one of the youngest female coaches in the UK upon gaining my UEFA 'B' coaching qualification and have since been involved in a number of elite football initiatives including the ECFA National Team, The FA Centre of Excellence, New York Red Bulls SC and Manchester United Soccer Schools. I was also chosen to be part of a successful mentoring programme for England’s upcoming professional football talent by The FA. I’m passionate about the development of young players Worldwide. I have playing experience at some of the highest levels through The FA Centres of Excellence, FA Academies and Senior teams. Furthermore, I have a range of experience shadowing professional Managers, Coaches and Academy Directors within the Premier League and Football League.

I enjoy the challenge of developing people and businesses to achieve far greater success. I find that the skills needed for developing people in sport are very similar to those needed in business (ability to get on with different types of people, an understanding of the competition, drive and determination).

My eclectic career therefore gives me an unusual skill set and a different approach.

Coach - Manchester United Soccer Schools (UK & International)

Residential Football and English Camps: Intensive two week camps, crammed full of activity and education, providing a spring or summer study break in England that will be remembered forever. In the morning students receive football coaching from the world-famous Manchester United Soccer Schools. No matter what their ability, they undergo a comprehensive course covering technique, tactics, physical, mental and social elements of the game, in a fun and friendly atmosphere. The afternoons are allocated to English lessons, delivered using MUSS customised football-themed syllabus created by Oxford University Press. Students are grouped according to ability so that they can all improve quickly. The interactive lessons cover grammar and vocabulary but also place a large emphasis on conversational English. After evening football sessions there's a chance to socialise and enjoy activities with students from across the globe, providing a cultural opportunity of a lifetime. Accommodation in a carefully selected regional centre completes the experience along with various activities and excursions. Students discover England, stay active and speak English – the perfect combination for a study break. Residential Football Camps: The objective is for each individual to attain their optimum level of performance and benefit from being coached the ‘Manchester United Way'. All activity is directed to the developmental age of the participant. Programmes are challenging but achievable, guaranteeing that each child leaves camp with a raised self esteem and most importantly having experienced fun and enjoyment.

Head Coach - U11 Girls [Player Development Center (PDC)]

The PDC allows players opportunities to access appropriate levels of coaching and support throughout the talent pathway, enabling the programme to reach the ultimate goal of producing elite female players to compete on the world stage. In 2011 Nottinghamshire FA were selected by The FA to organise and run the Player Development Centre, as part of the girls talent development pathway. PDC provides the missing link between the grass roots game and the Centres programme across the country. This year 3 trial sessions were held attracting 125 players from across 28 clubs in the county. The process adopted was based upon Long Term Player Development principles using the 4 corner model. A total of 51 players from 13 clubs have been selected for the centre and all take part in 90 minutes of high quality coaching per week in their PDC training kit.

Women and Girls Project Worker

Managing the Women and Girls tier of the nationally renowned Unity Education and Development Program in Nottingham.

Predominant focus on capturing young inner city people both Male and Female, who are on the cusp of permanent exclusion from school or have a criminal record plus those who have already passed the point of which many would call “No Return”. These young people are then mentored and educated through workshops and one-to-one sessions. We used football as a means of engagement with these groups as without having that aspect, many would not participate – football is the only thing many had in their lives.
Through this project I worked strategically with other organisations in order to deliver our projected outcomes, planned, wrote and submitted successful funding bids for the projects as well as attention to detail when under pressure to meet given deadlines.

Football Coach/Mentor

Predominant focus on capturing young inner city people both Male and Female, who are on the cusp of permanent exclusion from school or identified as "at risk". These young people are then mentored and educated through workshops and mentoring initiatives, including family home-visits and individual mentoring at school. We used football, music and dance as a means of engaging with these groups as without having that aspect, many would not participate – these were the only thing many had in their lives.

Diane Garfield - Community and Performance Sport Manager at South Nottingham College

I have known Holly for the past 2 years. Her role at the college has been Football Coach for the Womens Football Team. This has involved her training our team and taking them to fixtures and managing this process. This has been along side her other commitments with her football company. She is a very focused and determined member of staff who strives to get the best out of our students. Holly is very organised in her approach...Holly is very focused...She is always keen to learn and develop her knowledge and skills and in fact was fast tracked to complete her football UEFA B licence by the FA this year...great role model for our FE students to strive towards.

Trevor Powell - FDO Women and Girls at Nottinghamshire FA

I have known Holly for over 3 years and have supported her development as a coach during that time. Holly is dedicated to her development being an active member of both the Nottinghamshire FA and the FA's female coach mentoring scheme. Enthusiastic and inspirational coach wether coaching players at primary age or adults, delivering sessions to a high standard. Recently Holly completed her Level 3 Certificate in coaching football, a remarkable achievement being one of the youngest females in the country to reach this level. I have always found her to be honest, open, punctual, reliable and most of all a very pleasant person to be around.

Natalie Worpole - Account Director at Consolidated PR

Holly has so much passion for football that it is almost infectious, and what she has been able to achieve at such a young age is really impressive. When I met her, we were discussing ways that PR could leverage her credentials and help her achieve her ambitions- and it looks as if she's already well on her way to doing that. Her professionalism and modesty are to be admired too. We really enjoyed working with Holly at PR4.

Glen Harris - Centre of Excellence Technical Director at Lincolnshire FA

Holly has been head coach with the U.13's at Lincolnshire FA girls centre of excellence, she always delivers a well planned and effective coaching session. She always focuses on meeting all 4 corners of the LTPD model in her sessions providing player centred sessions. All individuals and the group have progressed very well this last season thanks to Holly's hard work.

Thomas Moriarty - Program Manager at Red Bull New York

Holly is a true professional. She is detail oriented, energetic, adaptive, innovative, and thorough. She readily imparts her knowledge and expertise where required. She works well on her own as well as in group settings. She consistently delivers the highest quality work in all areas.

Ben Bartlett - Senior Youth Coach Educator at The FA

Holly was affable, aspirational and able as a coach demonstrating willing alongside a strong work ethic.
