Summary

I graduated from the College of Charleston in July of 2010 with a B.A. in History and a minor in Business Administration.  As a result of my history major, I excel at technical writing, research and analysis.  My concentration in History is in United States history and foreign policy as well as pre-modern and modern African history.  For my minor, I have taken micro and macro economics, financial accounting, global logistics, and hospitality and tourism management.  In addition, I completed management and business communication courses that developed my skills needed to emerge as an effective leader in the workplace.

Extracurricular Activities

Active member of the Kappa Alpha Order since August of 2006.

Objective

To obtain an entry level management position or internship in the Defense and Aerospace Industry.

I worked in a variety of positions including Server, Bartender and Valet.  I am responsible for restocking and keeping inventory at the bar but most importantly creating and maintaining personal relationships with members of the club.

French Quarter Inn

I was the first to greet guests as they entered the hotel and assisted them with their luggage and the parking of their car.  I further developed people skills as I gave incoming guests a tour of the hotel and their room and provided them with any further assistance they may have needed.  I also dealt with paperwork involving the garages that the cars were stored in as well as the room and luggage location of each guest.

I assisted golfers with any of their needs including bag storage, club cleaning, and advice on the course.  Also was responsible for upkeep of carts, putting green, and the driving range.  I trained new employees and was the middle man between the outside staff and the professional golf staff.

I was responsible for the well-being and safety of my fellow housemates and assisted them with any problems they might be having.  I was also in charge of the upkeep of the house and reported any required maintenance or damage.  I served as the representative of my fraternity to the school and met with officials twice a week to report on the status of the house and its' residents.  I dealt with paperwork on a regular basis and developed organizational skills and people management skills.
