PERINI BUILDING COMPANY -- Las Vegas CityCenter Project

The Perini Building Company was lead contractor on the project, with a total cost of approximately $11 Billion. CityCenter is the largest privately funded development (18-million-square-feet) in the United States. The project consists of six high rise buildings, including three hotels, a theatre, convention center, two residential towers, and a 500,000-square-foot retail center. To date, the US Green Building Council has awarded LEED Gold Certifications for ARIA Hotel Tower, ARIA Convention Center and Theater, and the Vdara Hotel.

Reported to General Superintendent. Direct Reports: 400 | Project Responsibility: $45 Million+.

Accountable for scheduling and field management of subcontractors to construct/build out of low rise structure, restaurants, back of house electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Supervised the construction of the East Podium of the Aria Tower, specifically the concrete and steel structure and tenant improvements to the entire level two (more than 100,000 square feet), including the back of house utilities. Completed on time and under budget by almost $3.5 million.

Recruited by Perini Management Services, Inc. as a Contractor Quality Control representative for a Force Protection Project in Iraq with a contract value of more than $300 million.

Accountable for all site specific testing and documentation of materials used in the construction of the foundations as well as all of the required inspections and documentation of the project.

  • Received and verified that all of the materials were in accordance with the plans and specifications.
  • Conducted all inspections and monitored/conducted testing of concrete.
  • Maintained all applicable logs and daily reports. Prepared turnover documents and conducted all pre-final/final inspections with the United States Army Corps of Engineers.
