The role of a Business Group Commodity Director is to build the purchasing strategy of the Business Group (BG) within his specific commodity. The main missions of the role are to: * Participate in the definition of Purchasing Strategy and deploy it , propose make or buy strategy * Assess the suppliers * Develop a real partnership and lead negotiations with the supplier panel , participate in negotiations with the common suppliers to the several BG's, develop productivity/quality delivery improvement plan * Discuss the general agreements concerning the biggest suppliers * Work jointly with Group to find new suppliers according to their specific needs * Be involved in the early development phase of the programs * Propose the appropriate supplier panel for each program * Validate choices made by Program Managers * Consolidate information from different plants' (QCD) objectives and manage operational relationships.

The role of a Commodity Buyer Manager is to structure the building of a supplier panel for one or more commodities, pilot the overall productivity of the panel and manage a commodity team. The main missions of the role are to: * Participate in the building of the strategy to be deployed for the specific commodity in coordination with Business Group and company objectives * Structure the building of the supplier panel: organize associated marketing and pilot supplier selection according to Group criteria * Pilot panel management: lead the supplier performance follow-up, implement a supplier reduction plan. * Define the global productivity objectives of suppliers * Develop and implement tools to improve global productivity (Low-cost countries, e-sourcing, value-analysis) * Negotiate general agreements with the main suppliers of assigned commodities * Ensure the utilisation of the supplier panel by program and plant buyers * Manage the assigned commodity buyers team
