IT Assistant

Performed as Information Technology Assistant for Alternative Livelihood Program Southern Region Afghanistan. Controlling  Active directory users and computers environment for more than 150 users. Installed, operated, and maintained active directory environment and other technologies, such as communication systems. Configured hardware and software, setting up peripherals such as printers or routers, repairing equipment, and providing daily support for computer network users. Assisted the help desk, answering calls and e-mails regarding the computer network or communication systems. Responsible for writing reports, tracking inventory, evaluating new technologies, negotiating contracts with vendors, and developing contingency plans in case of network failure.


  • Responsible for the IT related tasks and reporting responsibilities for the Alternative Livelihoods Program South, ALP/S. Worked Closely with the IT Manager and other IT staff to provide high quality IT services to the computer users of Alternative Livelihoods Program South and to ensure that the computer network works efficiently for staff and faculty.   The ITA has the authority and the obligation to question on any activity that does not appear to be in accordance with company or ALPS policy, guidelines or standards and refer the IT Manager or appropriate management staff member.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory list of all computer equipment in Ms Access/Excel Database.
  • Monitor performance of the network, identifying POP (Point of Problem) in case of any problem.

IT Trainer & Support Assistant
