Skills and Attributes

I am a very hardworking individual. I put forth my full effort into every project I do. In my previous employment my management recognized how much my selling stats were up in comparison to other staff. I made sure I kept up my selling abilities, as well as taking on other tasks that needed to be complete. I did this, so when the opportunity arose for a raise to Assistant Manager I was ready to take on the extra responsibility. I took the position in stride, and completed my job well, while taking on extra things that the manager needed help with.

Adapting to Situations

I have a great ability to adapt to new situations. From high school until now I have almost always had some kind of job. They all have been very different, so I had to learn quickly to be the most successful at the new job. Also, I lived in Norman Wells North West Territories, so that meant living in a very isolated community. I come from a fairly small city, but living up there is like living in a whole new world. This helped me learn to live without the amenities most people take for granted.

In my personal experiences I have found that I must enter situations with optimism and energy. At times school can get very stressful. Teachers intentionally do this, so that students can be prepared to enter into the field, and deal with situations that are just as stressful, if not more. During the times when I have had at least 2 essays, 2 exams, and more projects due, I maintained my high energy in order to complete these tasks. My high energy has allowed me to study and keep my grades up where I want them to be.

Based on my past experiences I know that I am a very trustworthy person. At my previous job in a retail clothing store, the management entrusted me with a large lump sum of money. This time was on Boxing Day (retails busiest day of the year), so the team needed my help to count all the money. Management sent me to the back to count the money by myself, because they knew they could trust me with it. Once I finished counting it correctly I brought the money out, and gave it to the management team.
