7/2008 to 10/2009: Relocated to Charleston, SC joining employed spouse. Attempted full-time employment, with current economic environment elected to accept short-term contracts.

2/2004 to 7/2005: National job search ended with desire to return to Florida where my children could attend a nationally recognized high school for the gifted and talented. Unfortunately, a PR opportunity with a national company ended with a job freeze and a depressed economy limited any new PR opportunities.

3/1995 to 9/1999: Elected to take time off to raise my children.

Developed infrastructure, capital improvements and resident activities.

Recruited to lead $3.1 million division supporting No. 1 Superfund Cleanup Site Mission. Managed proactive external and internal communication strategies and programs supporting the cleanup of nuclear by-products and facility demolition. Operating in a fishbowl environment, developed strategic communications plans and programs to support accelerated closure mission, resulting in favorable regulatory decisions, community endorsements, positive press and improved morale and safety performance. Managed up to 17 employees, transitioning communications group from smokestack organization to flat, operation-oriented division. Built teaming environment with IT to support e-commerce system and with Safety and Engineering to create a 24-hour safety program supporting DOE compliance issues; site maintained best safety averages for the DOE Complex. Managed Visitor Center operations, including special events with up to 3,200 guests. Managed Emergency Operations Center supporting crisis communications locally/statewide, 24/7. Reported to CEO Al Dunlap (Chainsaw). Developed and implemented aggressive media relations program to communicate CEOs goal to transition Scott from a paper company to a consumer products company. Developed and aggressively implemented comprehensive media program involving press events covering a major restructuring, several divestitures and growth opportunities that resulted in coverage by major media, including The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, New York Times and Investor Business Daily. Managed $3.3 million contract with Burson-Marstellar.
