General Mills, Inc

Mr. Jerland served as Operations Services Engineer for cereal production operations. Responsibilities included supporting manufacturing operations, creating and evaluating design modification options to improve operational efficiencies.

Design Engineer

Rockwell International Corporation

Mr. Jerland served as a Design Engineer on a major military aircraft contract at Rockwell's North American Aircraft Operations. He was responsible for design layouts and engineering drawings for aluminum aircraft structure and laminated transparencies.

Chief Program Engineer

Morrison Knudsen Corporation

The Morrison Knudsen Transit Group designed and manufactured self-propelled rail cars for various agencies including San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit, Chicago CTA, and the New York Metropolitan Transit Authority.

Mr. Jerland served as Lead Mechanical and Chief Program Engineer, managing a team of 33 engineers, designers and drafters. He coordinated resources to meet schedule targets and supported manufacturing and contracts functions.

Lockheed Martin / Lockheed Missiles and Space Company

Mr. Jerland worked in space systems development in California operations and satellite manufacturing operations in New Jersey on government and military projects. Positions held included Design Specialist, Responsible Equipment Engineer, Mechanical Liaison Engineer, and Cost Account Manager. Mr. Jerland was responsible for design and analysis of spacecraft structural segments, payload layouts, and led teams of engineers supporting production of weather satellites. In addition to design duties, Mr. Jerland served as a Continuous Quality Improvement focal point, facilitating multi-discipline process improvement teams and providing instruction in Total Quality Management principles.


International Forgings Group

Mr. Jerland was President and co-founder and served on the board of directors. The market of this company was the aftermarket automobile products industry. The company had offices and contract manufacturing operations in Eastern Europe and the US, marketing its products through a nationwide US dealer network. Several North American racing teams used its one-piece forged racing wheels. Mr. Jerland was responsible for all activities from business plan development, financial pro formas, international contracts management and organization management.

Oscar Larson and Associates provides consulting services within the development and infrastructure marketplaces, including planning and development studies, design, mapping, project coordination and subcontracts management.

Mr. Jerland served as Project Manager performing technical due diligence, developing marketing strategies, organizational and process development, scheduling and budgeting, resource allocation, and site layout management for domestic and international clients.

American Ethanol California, Inc.

Mr. Jerland serves as Vice President of Engineering and on the board of directors for this start-up biofuels production company. He co-wrote the business plan and developed the pro forma financial models for development and operations.

Mr. Jerland is co-founder and principal of Grover Martin and serves on its board of directors. Grover Martin provides business process and infrastructure development consulting services to domestic and international clients. Projects include municipal waste incineration, middle-east civil engineering reconstruction and development, and emerging business model development.
