Initial Goals

  • Graduate with a bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition by the end of Fall 2015
  • Begin dietetic internship in Spring 2016
  • Become a registered dietician by 2017

Work Philosophy

Heather Goff has two passions – journalism and nutrition. In pursuing certification as a registered dietitian, she hopes to marry the two interests in her future career. She plans to specialize in nutrition education – including workplace seminars, on college campuses and in published articles. She has observed a growing interest in heath, fitness and nutrition in recent years. Yet, the nation's obesity epidemic is still rising. The idea of visiting a dietitian's office may seem too costly or intimidating to many people. As a result, Heather aspires to take practical lessons of good nutrition to a broader audience – reaching beyond the clinical setting to educate the general public about weight management and disease prevention.

Long-term Goals
