First Stage Concrete, Shift Manager

Responsible to the Tunnel Delivery Manager for the successful completion of the construction of the works. • 24/7 cover of the works • Ensuring compliance with the HASEMP, RAMS and other SHE policies, leading by example and ensuring this information is disseminated to the workforce. • Leading the delivery of the works in accordance with the project programme • The engineering control of the works according to each discipline including design implementation and completion of quality control systems. • Attendance of DRM on dayshift and agrees and delivers RESS briefings • Production of Start of Shift Briefings • The control of materials supply for the works required. • Coordination of the materials testing and ensuring records are created and passed on for archiving correctly and includes entering into databases where necessary. • Preparation and revision of RAMS, ITP and SSP, and the monitoring of working practices against these to ensure compliance. • Liaison with the Section Foreman of all disciplines to ensure the adherence to safe methods of work and programme. • Liaison with the Tunnel Manager in detailing short term programme and ensuring all engineers are aware of upcoming works. • Identifying variations from contracted works. • Ensure personal Professional Development and encourage the development of others • Providing cover for and carrying out the duties of the shift engineer where necessary to ensure continuity of works • Undertaking the role of risk owner for the appropriate risks and participating in the project risk management system, including risk meetings • To satisfy that the works are being constructed in accordance with the design and to maintain communications with the SCL designers site representative on his shift to ensure this is so. • In the event of an emergency to take charge of the incident and escalate his response in line with the Emergency Preparedness Plans.

TBM TUNNEL ENGINEER

Construction of Urban railway project in central London. Two 6.8 km twin bore Tunnels plus SCL Station works at Tottenham Court Road and Bond Street. (Crossrail, BFK), with 2 TBM's of 7.1m diameter, E.P.B. mode (Herrenknecht AG). Differents roles during the project, Shift Engineer, Shift Manager and finally Deputy Production Manager. Duties & responsibilities: RAMS, involvement in the SRG meetings and carry on with the actions derived from the meeting, look after the Health & Safety and the workmanship performance of the tunnels, labour management (hours, allocation and bonus), liaison with tunnel manager, shift engineer and pit-boss, monitoring of the programme and reporting. Preparing method statements toolbox talk’s daily briefings and other Health &Safety related communications to ensure safe working practice and working environment -Working together with pit bosses, engineers and the client in order to implement and assure compliance with the RESS. Maintain works check sheets in accordance with the ITP. -Check testing, maintaining records. -Organize plant, materials, consumables on a day-to-day basis -Daily shift reports, progress reports quantities/quality of materials and plant Western Tunnels & Station Caverns (Farringdon-Royal Oak) Projects C300/410/435. TUNNEL ENGINEER - PROJECT AND SITE MANGEMENT

Proyect AVE Ourense-Amoeiro. (Spanish High Speed Railway, 4 Km tunnel and 4 Km emergency tunnel with crosspasages every 250 m) -Coordination of tunnelling excavation works (drilling, blasting, loading,…), temporary support with shotcrete, steel arches, bolts and forepoling, jet grouting, All works carried out following national & international standards. (NATM). (Team: 80 workers) -Development and maintenance of management strategy. -Responsible for Health and safety on site, ensuring that all employees are exposed to the maximum level of safety and minimal health risks, monitoring & controlling the quality standards. - Preparation of daily reports covering programme and monitoring of activities run on site and planning all resource and equipment and material on site. (Planning & Scheduling) -Prepare monthly billings, according to the principal contract. -Negotiated cost to suppliers based on analysis and from suppliers quotation. -Coordinating the concrete plant, tunnel lining works & a mobile crushing plant. -Estimating changes and additional costs. (Burata tunnel had had several problems with geology, and we made several changes in the project like Jet Grouting, umbrellas pipe lines, injections of foam, etc) Project AVE Ourense-Amoeiro. Budget: € 140,000,000 + VAT ----------------------------------------- Project TABAZA TUNNEL. (Arcelor Tunnel in Asturias, 1.6 Km railway tunnel) -Tunnel with a Roadheader, Alpine Westfalia (80 ton) -Coordination of tunnelling excavation works, temporary support with shotcrete, steel arches, bolts., All works carried out following national & international standards. (NATM). (Team: 30 workers) - Preparation of daily reports covering programme and monitoring of activities run on site and planning all resource and equipment and material on site. (Planning & Scheduling) -Prepare monthly billings and production reports. -Estimating changes and additional costs. Project Tabaza Tunnel Budget: € 8,000,000 + VAT
