Explorers Communications helps businesses and non-profits achieve their communications and marketing objectives by providing strategic communications, public relations and marketing services. I bill hourly, and the rate varies by client.
Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, business membership based organization that served 2,000 member businesses throughout Chicagoland during my tenure; it was the 3rd largest Chamber in Illinois. I was responsible for directing and executing all internal and external marketing, communications and public relations, as well as serving as a member of the executive leadership team and managing the marketing staff. My salary was $37,000.
Danville Area Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, business membership based organization that served approximately 450 businesses from a four-town region during my tenure. I was responsible for membership recruitment and retention, corporate communications and committee management.
The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, business membership based organization that served approximately 300 businesses in Lisle and surrounding suburbs during my tenure. I was responsible for all internal and external communications, assisted with marketing, and participated in committee and event management.
Institute, an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is the premier nonprofit professional development program for association and chamber professionals, fostering individual growth through interactive learning and networking opportunities. Graduates of Institute receive the IOM designation, signifying completion of 96 hours of course instruction in nonprofit management. Nearly 1,000 individuals attend Institute annually.

I'm an enthusiastic, creative communications and marketing professional who specializes in helping businesses and non-profits achieve their marketing goals. I cultivated my career in the Chamber of Commerce industry and have gone on from there to serve businesses and associations in a consultative capacity at Explorers Communications. I have also lent my talents to several other associations and non-profit organizations in various volunteer roles.
Now, I am ready for the next path on my career journey. I am eager to become part of a productive team that values hard work, optimism, and creativity.

Debbie and I worked together for five years at the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. We have also collaborated on a number of client projects.
Shane and I have worked on many projects together over the years. We also served together on the board of the Naperville Area Humane Society.
Linda served as Executive Director of the Naperville Area Humane Society during my tenure as a board member.
Philip has hired me to write and manage editorial for the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce's annual magazine for each of the last six issues.
I worked for Mike for five years at the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Mary Ann and I worked together on the Carriage Club of Naperville senior living development project. She also served as President of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce during my tenure there.
