An astute business professional with more than ten years of relevant experience, Heather Herman laid the foundations for the development of her outstanding leadership skills while in college. At James Madison University (JMU), where she studied from 1996 to 2000, Heather Herman was a student leader who contributed significantly to a number of campus groups, including Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity and the JMU student government. During her time at the university, Heather Herman served as the Vice President of her class, the Director of her class government, and Vice President of the JMU student body. Since 2000, when she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, Heather Herman was also a member of the Board of Directors for the JMU College of Business, demonstrating her continued dedication to leadership at her alma mater. 

Following graduation, Heather Herman utilized her deep understanding of team dynamics and leadership in building her own successful marketing company from the ground up. From 2000 to 2007, Heather Herman developed a team of more than 150 onsite and nationwide sales and marketing professionals, managing all aspects of employee growth. In addition to recruiting and training sales representatives and managers, Heather Herman led daily sales meetings in order to foster strong team members and effective leaders. Known for her investment in new managers and her willingness to travel and relocate to support new branches, Heather Herman’s commitment to leadership resulted in a business that grossed $4.7 million annually, with 15 independently managed branches located throughout the United States.
