I'm graduating from SJSU in December with a B.S. in public relations and a minor in humanities. I currently work with MOSAIC Cross Cultural Center as a Diversity Advocate Intern. I educate students, staff and faculty about diversity, equity and social justice through programming and workshops. I would like to earn my graduate degree in higher education and student affairs, focusing on diversity and multicultural issues. I would like to eventually use my public relations skills with a nonprofit organization and/or focus on mixed race programming in a college setting.
My objective is to earn a position in a non-profit organization or educational institution utilizing my public relations, humanities and diversity training in order to create a more inclusive and equitable society by educating the public about the importance of honoring difference and encouraging positive ethnic identity in all people.
