James Welsh is an independent graphic designer and brand strategist working in Ottawa, Canada.

Prior to setting up his self-named design consultancy, James worked for Canada’s Post Office ( as Manager, Brand Development. In this consultative role, he helped internal teams with product and service naming, brand strategy, and brand identity projects. His major accomplishment was the development of a Brand Revitalization Plan for the entire corporation.

Prior to Canada Post, James was co-owner of Victory Design Inc. an award-winning graphic design studio. He lead a team of designers working for clients such as the National Gallery of Canada, the Canadian International Development Agency, the Royal Canadian Mint and the Canadian Museum of Civilization.

James is a Professional member of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada and is a graduate of the prestigious Sheridan College Graphic Design Program.
