Work History

• To facilitate receipts, storage, and issuance of relief commodities as per WFP/CARE guidelines.
• Inspection of warehouses, their maintenance and reporting any need for Fumigation and repairs.
• Ensure timely offloading of all UNHCR supplied Food and Non Food Items at the warehouses and update UNHCR sub office Dadaab through the Logistics Officer.
• Facilitate in receiving and offloading of all CARE Sectors materials and consult the user sector in verifying the required specifications of the received goods.
• Conduct regular physical count of all food and Non Food commodities in the warehouses and maintain CARE assets inventory of the items within the sector.
• Ensures proper security of the warehouses by keeping the keys in safe custody and setting fire-fighting equipment at strategic points.

• Responsible for maintaining ledger records and stock / Bin Cards.
• Preparing the Daily distribution Report during the food and Non Food Items Distribution exercises.
• Preparing precise, analytical and accurate weekly mid-month and monthly food reports.
• Compile and prepare the internal sector update and submit to the coordinator.
• Prepare any other report that may be required by the sector.
• Supervise all the stores incentive staff that fall under Logistics.
• Ensure that duties are allocated accordingly.
• Ensures the refugees receive their right food entitlements by adhering to the 100% food weighing requirement.
• Recommend the motivation of the hard working staff within the sector.
• Handle discipline and staff grievances of the sector incentive staff.
