Currently collaborating as member of a research group under the supervision of Dr. Sirkku Männikkö from Dept of Computer and Systems Sciences, Stockholm University. This research is in the field of ICT4D and specifically identifying and analysing the use of Telecentres and its future in Emerging Regions.

Criminal Shortlisting and Crime forecasting based on Modus Operandi
Comparing several crimes performed by the same criminal will reveal a specific Modus Operandi pattern for an individual or a group. This research suggests a model in shortlisting criminal suspects by identifying patterns using a M.O feature set and a model derived from a machine learning approach. The project was a multidisciplinary project which sits in the intersection of ML, Criminology.

This most prestigious gold medal was presented considering the excellence of academic records along with the extracurricular contribution to the University. I was the next to the batch top while contributing to many societies of the university (CompSoc, Exploration club, Amalgamated Club, UCSC Union, Buddhist Society etc.)
|The Competition was among 5000+ young active citizens of Sri Lanka. In Each round a different type of skill was tested such as IQ, Physical Fitness, Leadership, Problem Solving, Aesthetics skills, Martial Arts, Management Skills, Teaching Skills, General Knowledge etc. The "Emerging Young Leader of Sri Lanka" one of the prestigious title that a Sri Lankan youth can achieve.|
I was among the selected 72 senators of Sri Lanka for the 2nd Sri Lanka Youth Parliament. Social activities, Volunteer works along with the other educational, extracurricular qualifications were considered for the selection. Under the oath, I served my best to create discuss, criticise and develop policies which were considered as official suggestions to the national parliament.
|I am glad that I delegated my country at the WCY 2014 where Colombo Declaration was developed. The Colombo Declaration presents recommendations for action based on fourteen key areas including Youth led-development, Realising equal access to quality education etc. I actively participated for discussions with world representatives to brainstorm and suggest youth perspective to SDG.|
|In 2012, This competition was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education for all the universities and higher education institutes. There were 500+ announcers and presenters in the competition. At the grand finale I managed bag the 3rd place (National Level) of Best Creative TV Presenter competition which was the toughest category.|
I followed the Full Immersion English Course at Oxford college of Business, Sri Lanka and passed with a Distinction. I was named as the batch-top considering the marks.
|Exploration club has been conducting seminars, workshops and capacity building sessions for students from rural areas in Sri Lanka. I voluntarily contributed as a teacher and a facilitator for several workshops.|
|AS the emerging young leader of the country, I visited many places and most of the time I did capacity building programs, Personal Development Program etc. I was attached to the National Youth Services|

#Mahanama college is my alma mater which is one of the leading college in Colombo, Sri Lanka with 5000+ students and 300+ teachers.
I served my college as a senior prefect and before that I served as a steward. In 2004, I was selected as a junior prefect for one year period.
|I led the senior sinhala debating team from 2006 - 2009 and my team won 12 championships and 11 runner ups for Mahanama College.|
I have won national level oratory speech competitions 14 times. Starting from 2002 I was a member of oratory and debating society of Mahanama College.
I have won national level announcing competitions 8 times. Starting from 2003 I was a member of Media Unit of Mahanama College.
Awarded as the Best All-rounder in grade 10, 11 and 12 consecutively at the Mahanama College annual prize giving ceremonies
I was the president for the Media Unit and Debating Society of Mahanama College. Addition to that I've hold the responsibilities of executive boards of Leo Club, Sinhala Literary Association, Buddhist Society, Science Society, English Literary Association and Environment Society of Mahanama College
