As CEO of Flanders Corp., Harry Smith guided a leading manufacturer in the U.S. air filtration industry for nearly a decade. The firm meets the needs of customers in the commercial and residential heating sectors for quality air conditioning and ventilation systems. Leveraging extensive industry experience, Harry Smith led the company’s growth and strategic direction. As CEO, he expanded revenue from $180 million to $300 million and brought the company from negative to positive earnings.

Mr. Smith earned his bachelor’s degree in business at East Carolina University in Greenville and joined Flanders in 1997. Over the years, he took on increasing responsibilities with the filter sales and service and wholesale divisions. He also led the CSC-Charcoal Services and AirSeal Filter Housings divisions prior taking on chairman responsibilities in 2009.

In his free time, Mr. Smith enjoys offshore fishing, and he achieved a victory in the Virginia Beach Billfish Tournament in 2012. Active in his community, he serves on the board of the University of North Carolina and chairs the finance and budget committees.
