He operates as an independent practitioner in a Pueblo group practice, with privileges at nearby Parkview and St. Mary-Corwin Hospitals. He began this role in late 2000, having practiced with the team at the Southern Colorado Clinic in Pueblo for the previous 15 months. Dr. Harry Keefe has also conducted family practice with the Physicians Network of Colorado Springs, as well as in a rural practice connected with Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center, also known as Salida Hospital. While working through Salida Hospital, Dr. Harry Keefe served as a staff emergency room physician and a member of the Medical Executive Committee. From 1990 to 1991, he held the position of the hospital's Chief of Staff. During his 11-year tenure with the hospital, he also undertook the duties of Medical Director at nearby Columbine Manor Care Center. Dr. Harry Keefe received his Doctor of Medicine in 1982 from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he subsequently completed his internship and residency in family medicine. Prior to his medical studies, Dr. Harry Keefe earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, also from the University of Colorado. During his time as a student, he earned a number of recognitions and awards, including the Chancellor's Recognition Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Academic Achievement in 1978 and the Merck Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement in Medical Studies in 1982. He received Phi Beta Kappa's Claribel Kendall Fellowship in 1977 and became a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 1982. Today, Dr. Harry Keefe continues to practice Family Medicine in Pueblo, where he resides with his wife.
