Passionate geography graduate seeking a graduate role with Arcadis. I have spent the last two years travelling the world gaining experience and knowledge in diverse environments and am now seeking to commence a professional, sustainability-focused career in the UK.

An intensive, live-in program at the five star Shamwari Game Reserve where I learned about South Africa's natural heritage and the art of nature guiding from experienced zoologist, nature guide and published author of Living with Leopards, Nils Kure. Subjects covered included plant and animal identification, ethology, botany, taxonomy, delivering professional guided nature experiences for guests, astronomy, weather and climate, geology, wine appreciation, and aspects of hospitality.

Naturalist Guide

Interpreting the natural world for guests at a luxury lodge in the outback near Kakadu National Park. Responsibilities included taking guests on personalised tours around the Northern Territory by 4X4 land cruises, guided bush walks, quad bikes and via river boat. Bamarru Plains is a part of the Luxury Lodges Australia group and required a top level of customer service and knowledge of Australian wildlife. I had previous experience working in New Zealand and being trained in South Africa to absorb vast quantities of information in a short amount of time.

2011 Duke of Edinburgh Award - Gold Level

The Duke of Edinburgh Award (DOE) expeditions included backpacking, cycling, hiking, climbing, rafting and elephant trekking through Thailand for several weeks. The award was presented to me by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh at St. James in October 2013.

Oct 2010 Football Association (FA) Coaching Level 1 Certificate

I was trained to professionally coach people on how to play football. I took charge of training sessions for men between the ages of 18 and 40. My responsibilities included organising training sessions in order to get the best out of the players and develop their abilities.

2010 Duke of Edinburgh Award - Silver Level

Desert trekking through Oman for four days. Activities included team building exercises, survival training, map reading, astronomy and study of botany of local plants.  

2009 Duke of Edinburgh Award - Bronze Level

Desert trekking through Dubai for two days. Activities included team building exercises, survival training and orientation skills.

2009- 2011 Prefect, Dubai British School

I held a Prefect position for two years. My responsibilities included setting standards for the younger students and attending teacher-prefect meetings to discuss potential improvements in school life.

Environmental processes - I am interested in biodiversity and geodiversity and the interactions between them, as well as abiotic and biotic elements of our world both on land and in aquatic environs. 

Travel - I have lived in many different countries including Dubai, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
