With experience in the construction, retail, and service industries, Harrison Walraven most recently served as a Waiter at The Counter, a “Custom Built Burgers” joint in Corte Madera, California. From 2009 to 2011, he held responsibilities for opening and closing the establishment, serving customers, and assisting with food prep as needed. Starting as a Host, Harrison Walraven worked his way up to the Waiter position after only three months on the job. A graduate of the Marin Catholic High School and College Preparatory in Kentfield, California, Mr. Walraven attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he studied film. While in high school and college, he held part time responsibilities as a Carpenter’s Assistant with Koa Construction. From 2006 to 2009, he assisted in numerous rebuilding and demolition projects, gaining experience in all aspects of construction-related manual labor. He also assisted in transportation and job-site cleaning and closing. In the summer of 2006, Harrison Walraven held an additional position as Stocking Specialist with REI Corte Madera. Taking store inventory, he entered data on the computer, ensuring that shelves were fully stocked. He held a summer Sales Associate position at Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. in 2008, assisting customers in selecting clothing and performing cashier functions. Active in his community, Mr. Walraven volunteered from 2006 to 2008 with The Redwoods retirement community, located at the base of Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County. He focused on helping elderly residents gain basic competency in computers. With a passion for cars and everything car-related, Harrison Walraven has aspirations of gaining a position in the automotive industry.

Open or close restaurant, cleaning tables/drink areas/bar etc. Serving customers, as well as a little bit of food prep.Was given the opportunity to start as host and within 3 months had worked my way up to the position of server. This process really taught me all levels of the restaurant/service industry, and really allowed me to fine tune my customer service skills.
