Directed all accounting activities.Brought investors reporting up to date and current.Prepared multi-state sales tax returns (36).Managed cash flow updates on a weekly basis.Monitored inventories and production discrepancies. Mentored accounting team to succeed in a dynamic work environment.

$70 million nationwide design, manufacturing, and direct sales company of custom-designed luxury women’s clothing.

Led day-to-day operation of the Finance and Accounting department. Directed all aspects of accounting for five outlet stores.

  • Increased process accuracy, and exceeded financial reporting the requirements of the new major Private Equity shareholder.
  • Presided over migration and implementation from Great Plains to Axapta.

$16 million wholesale manufacturer for major retail department stores.  Company discontinued operations in 2005.

Developed comprehensive business and marketing plans with integrated metrics-based budgets for several business units.Worked with executive team to monitor achievement of cash flow targets on a weekly basis.

  • Monitored and coordinated global sourcing of fabrics and raw materials stored at factories, mills, and warehouses locally and overseas.
  • Coordinated worldwide Production operations, yield and quality control.Managed all finished goods distribution logistics. Processes include ASN, EDI, partial shipments and replenishment fulfillment tailored to meet customers’ specific needs.
  • Negotiated factoring agreement reducing the interest rate by 2 percentage points, and commission rate by 0.3 points (from 1% to .07%).

Formalized the strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting process.  Developed and implemented the company’s Business Continuation Plan.  Completed 3 years of delayed financial closings and tax filings.  Personally established London, UK, accounting department.

  • Managed majority shareholder relationship securing $1.5 million in funding for continuing operations.
  • Secured a $600,000 continuing line of credit.  Negotiated with printing house & vendors reducing costs by 10%.
