National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru.

The purpose of this internship was to learn about the medical devices being used at various departments of NIMHANS like Neurology, Radiology, Bio-chemistry, Biophysics etc. Many real- time applications of the medical devices, their working and the specific purpose for which they were being used was learnt over the duration of this internship.

Project Work

Child Activity Recognition Using A Multi-Sensor System:

In brief, this project presents a child activity recognition approach for children between the ages 9 months to 24 months using a single 3-axis accelerometer, a temperature sensor, an odour sensor and an IR sensor worn on the waist of the body to prevent child accidents, such as unintentional injuries, and also to help prevent sanitary problems.
