 General management of these Florida locations included development of short and long-term financial objectives in conjunction with overall corporate planning, customer service, human resources, inventory management, security, and facilities management.

Direct reports included a regional operations/human resources manager, regional advertising/marketing manager, and twelve store managers.

Actively participated in the creation of a 10-store, $70 million (annual revenues) office products superstore retailer from its developmental stage through its merger with Staples, Inc.

Developed comprehensive financial and operating plans which were key components in closing several capital transactions including $16 million venture capital and $7 million debt placements.

Managed all financial, control, treasury, and information systems operations. Also, was responsible for managing company's employee benefit and risk management programs.

Designed and implemented substantially all hard and soft control and reporting systems.

Successfully established and managed an in-house commercial credit program with more than 2,500 accounts and average balances in excess of $1 million.
