I am an experienced (m ore than 15 years) hard working Project Manager/Leader who is well organized, dedicated, and focused.  I have command of the SDLC process, know how to determine what needs to be done; focus on determining needs, excellent in plan the work and getting it done, and do it thoroughly with quality results.  I have experience working with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the entire SDLC process.  My experience includes building and leading teams in established companies, as a founding member of startups, and in late stage startups where I have been responsible for  My experience also includes building and leading teams in startups or established companies, for new product or in replacing existing products utilizing new technologies, including “turn around” situations. The latter includes public companies as well as late stage startups. I have accomplished the above in a variety of industries from product concept to delivery and variations in between; includes managing multiple simultaneous project tracks. I am certain that I would be a valuable addition to any company that needs people who can juggle demands and tasks, can adapt as conditions and priorities change, effectively manage new issues as they arise and do all of the above with minimum supervision. Program Manager Responsibilities: Analyzed customer operational processes and identified impact of HIPAA regulations. Translated HIPAA regulations to identify the impact on customer operations in support of Marketing and Professional Services planning, and product goals. Co-authored MRD. Conducted presentations and demos for venture capitalists and prospective customers. Wrote product documentation that provided foundation for product collateral. Director. Director Responsibilities: Provided leadership for engineering team comprised of two software development teams, configuration management, quality assurance, IT, and technical writing. Notable Achievement: • Lead development process re-engineering that improved planning and performance to schedule while also delivering higher level of quality. Program Manager Responsibilities: Lead process of turning marketing requirements into appropriate functional specifications. Provided cross discipline team project management.

Notable Achievement • Assumed responsibility for a team experiencing poor performance and quality of workflow, and affected re-engineering of teams development process. Organization delivered on schedule and budget for the first time in the company’s existence.

Client/Server Products Division supplied network availability software that monitored services attached to corporate wide networks, provided alerts for impending service termination and facilities for minimizing loss of service. Management responsibility included three development teams (including change request control and configuration management), SQA, and technical publications. Annual budget was $3.5M. Notable Achievements: • Lead effort consisting of Sales, Marketing and Service staff to improve customer satisfaction; (1) Improved response to customer concerns including quicker response with patch releases and delivery of promised enhancements, and (2) improved quality/reliability of general software releases. • Lead clarification of customer operational needs leading to new product architecture that addressed reliability, 24x7 support, and performance issues.

SDI was a start up engaged in the contract development of software to automate the semiconductor manufacturing process (clean room operations) to customer specifications, including coordinating integration with a wide variety of third party products. Served as primary source for communication of project information and owned the project plan. Directed team of software engineers, users, publications and SQA in the USA, and professional services and software engineers in Hsin-Chu, Taiwan. Responsible for managing schedules/SLAs with various semiconductor manufacturing system vendors regarding interfaces and delivery of hardware. Significant Accomplishment: Rescued $4M multi year, multi phased project that was behind schedule with deteriorating customer relationship. Resolved the customer relationship issues and succeeded (time/budget) in delivering the first release of the software to the customer in time frame needed for new plant operations in Taiwan.

Hired to direct a faltering team, comprised of staff from multiple functional organizations, in investigation of recurring network security breaches. Led development of a plan for solving recurring breaches in network security. Led evaluation of available security products, selected vendor, and negotiated licensing of security technology. Notable Achievement: • Succeeded in righting the stalled project, and directed research into areas of vulnerability in Tymnet technology and operations as well as Sun/OS Unix environment. Plan was accepted and executed.
