Intern

M.B. Kahn Construction Company, CM Divison

·My role during this internship was to assist the project engineer and learn the basics of general construction and the construction management field.

·I did basic tasks in this role such as file paperwork according to the companies filing system, adding addenda and other notes to the set of project drawings, and other various office-keeping tasks.

·For a period of three weeks during this internship I worked on a one-year walkthrough punch list, making sure that the contractors completed all of their assigned tasks.

·I also worked on Cash Flow Projections for M.B. Kahn’s projects in Richland School District Two, as well as completed a Constructability Report.

Undergraduate Student Senate

·As an at-large Senator I have conversations with many different students on campus and use the information I gather from these conversations to better represent the Clemson University Undergraduate Student Body.

·This position also requires me to manage a committee of seven members in many different tasks that range from representing all student organizations on campus as well as attempting to improve the students’ view of various Administrative Offices on Clemson’s Campus.

·As president I am required to be able to delegate, manage time, make risk management decisions and oversee multiple officers and the projects that they worked on.

·As president I also represent my Chapter of Beta Theta Pi at several leadership conferences as well as in bi-weekly IFC meetings and the Beta Theta Pi annual convention.

·My role in this office required me to exhibit multiple leadership characteristics such as delegation, public speaking, and organization.

·I also organized multiple Brotherhood events, such as paintball, and brotherhood cookouts.

·During major events I was responsible for managing a crew of 2-4 employees that performed under my direction to serve all crew, guests, and talent working/visiting the Coliseum.

·This role required me to work on a budget, under time restraints, and in high stress, fast pace situations while keeping a cool composure and a smile on at all times.
