·Gained knowledge of the State of Michigan’s Assistance Programs and eligibility requirements for each program. Specifically: Food Assistance, Medical Assistance, Child Daycare Assistance and Cash Assistance.
·Effectively communicated with clients in person and via telephone to explain eligibility criteria for particular programs. Applications were registered once all pertinent information is obtained from the client.
·Performed clerical duties for Assistance Payments Workers by registering, assigning and delivering cases to workers.
·Efficiently completed assigned duties by understanding departmental rules, regulations and policies. Gained an increased ability to adapt to changing policy; procedure and software programs.
·Performed other general office duties as required.
