Indiana University of Pennsylvania

I am a junior journalism major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  My overall GPA is a 3.3, putting me on the Dean's List.

I'm a columnist for my school's newspaper, I wrote a recurring column called "Sex and the Campus."

I was president of Residence Hall Counsil in 2008, and vice president of Students Raising Awareness for Animal Rights in 2008 to 2009.

Liberal Arts Diploma

Dunmore High School

I graduated from Dunmore High School in Dunmore, Pennsylvania in 2005.  I maintained a 3.7 GPA and was on the Distinguished Honor Roll.

I was a member of the French club, the Drama club and on the Varsity Cheerleading team.

All of my journalism classes involved with editing, and I believe I have a good amount of experience.  JRNL102 (Basic Journalism Skills), JRNL220 (Writing for Print Media), JRNL337 (Editing), and JRNL328 (News Reporting) are a few that dealt with editing in depth.

I've had to conduct interviews for projects at IUP.  Including Rachel Pugh, the general manager of The Weekender, a Northeastern Pa based entertainment weekly and Scott Gibson, the head of Health Services at IUP. I've conducted many interviews for my column in the school's newspaper.  Often in a "man on the street" fashion, where I would just ask students their opinions or ask for stories they'd be willing to share based on the topic of that week's column.

I have experience with customizing websites.  I'm currently learning to do more.
