Objective

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management.  I am seeking an entry level management position which will build on my extensive experience as an administrative assistant  as well as concepts learned in current as past coursework.  I have 4 years of experience assisting the largest county in the State of Michigan develop its yearly budget and 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan.  I have completed coursework in public speaking, diversity and business law foundations.  I have also recieved citations for excellence in teamwork.  Upon completion by my degree, I plan to pursue a career in project or strategic management.

Summary

I am a goal and customer service oriented, deadline driven self-starter.  I appreciate diversity in the workplace.  I seek to perform at a level which tests and strengthens my abilities.  I constantly reassess my skills and look for ways in which to improve myself professionally as well as personally.  I enjoy building on my current skill set with new challenges and responsibilities.  I view every day as an opportunity to learn something new.

Assigned to the Department of Human Services, Office of Child Support, I assist callers who have questions regarding the child support process of establishing and enforcing cases.  I work with employers and advise their payroll officers regarding garnishments for child support.  I also maintain the database which Friends of the Court in Michigan use to issue garnishments and medical support notices for child support.

Assigned to the Department of Management and Budget, Budget Division.  I assisted in the preparation of the yearly budget and 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan.  I also assisted in the preparation of all quarterly reports and major budget adjustments.  Responsible for monitoring all daily work flow and bringing all urgent issues to the attention of the Budget Director.  Provided administrative support to executive committees.  Liasion between the Budget Division and the Wayne County Commission Fiscal Agency.
