I have been working w/ technology and education for over 10 years in a school setting. I hope to incorporate 21st century & multi-media technologies into students teachings, while preparing them for future learning. I'm currently looking to get my Mac OS/Repair Certification, as well as a Masters in Technology Integration. Also, I have a solid background in web design, w/ network/server support. On a personal note, I'm a proud father of 3 boys and 1 girl and have been married for 8 years.

Greendale School District

College Park El Ed - maintain a school/network of over 100 computers, 1 stationary lab, and 1 mobile cart.  1st line of tech support, and media specialist in the building.

Greendale Middle School - I maintain a school/network of over 200 computers and maintain 4 computer lab’s and 3 mobile carts.  We focus a lot on “cloud computing” using online resources.  I troubleshoot  all sorts of problems ranging from: resetting pmus, running fsck, server issues, etc.  I am a “jack of all trades” who loves the teaching side of technology as well as the networking/server side of things.  Implemented Google Apps/Gaggle for school.  Ran Wired Wednesday, professional development courses, and did some web design as well.

Maintain a school of over 200 computers and a lab of over 40. I have developed and maintained the schools web page as well as teachers (well versed in Plone ,iweb and Composerl) I’ve fixed hardware and software problems, and have rewired network closets as well. I have worked w/ all types of accessories and multimedia tools. Ranging from: printers, scanners, digital cameras, camcorders, etc. Excellent background in maintaining servers and dealing w/ email/users accounts, and all server issues. I have also taught classes on a variety of courses to staff and students (Powerpoint, Web Design, Inspiration, Word, Internet, Multimedia , Web 2.0, etc.) Hands on experience w/ Mac Manager I&II, Workgroup Manager, Remote Desktop, RAID servers, Wirecast,and Mac OSX (Jaguar/Panther/Tiger/Leopard). (OS 8.6 to 10.5; . Authority to make software and hardware purchases for the school. Run the morning live broadcast video announcements. Basic use/understanding of Powerschool and databases/fFilemaker. Extensive use of the iLife suite, open source applications, and Wirecast. * I am a member of the Technology Advisory Committee for District 57. I am the cofounder and run the Video Club & LP TV for 4 /5th grade students. I am the cofounder and run the Digital Art Club Help build/create the LP TV Studio. I am a member of the Technology Curriculum Committee that is in the process of implementing a new curriculum in the district based on State Standards. I’ve been in numerous newspaper articles regarding LPTV.

Trained as an assistant to the computer lab teacher. Learned how to fix hardware problems, and maintain a network. Mainly worked w/ At Ease & OS 8.6. Rebuilt computers often and troubleshot all types of problems. Ranging from replacing batteries, ethernet cards, printers, etc. Helped run lab w/ classes and create help manuals for teachers. Taught summer school for three years in District 65 as computer lab teacher.
