Senior Production coordinator

Coordinating for the following departments:

  • Animation: coordinating since 10 months.
  • Technical animation: 2+ years.
  • Camera tracking and matchmove : 3+ years (Overlapping with TechAnim and Animation Dept.)

My role as a Senior Production Coordinator includes the following:

Production related

- Planning and scheduling for training for the artists during times when there is not much project work.

- Attending dailies with the Supervisor in LA and take down notes and publish it in an email or on the internal tracking software.

- Coordinating with the hardware dept. to fulfill hardware requirements of the team according to the current or upcoming projects.

- Training Junior coordinators.

- Getting Involved in recruitment for departments I am coordinating for.

- Assigning shots along with the team lead.

- Keeping a tab on completion of shots within the deadline.

- Scheduling dailies with the team leads.

- Working on the internal tracking software "Jobtracker" and keeping it updated for production tracking.

- Maintaining a record of tasks assigned to the entire team.

- Coordinating for extra hours and extra days of work required and coordinating for lunch and/or dinner arrangements.

- Maintaining a general record regarding the performance of each artist from the team on the assigned project.

- Scheduling and coordinating for inter departmental mid and post mortem meetings during and at the end of a project.

- Contributing towards recruitment. In terms of checking Demo Reels / sending home tests / coordinating for in house tests / Doing telephonic interviews / Coordinating for getting the home tests and in house tests evaluated by the artists.

- Doing in house presentations for Animation and VFX students. Wherein I speak about the company and take up a movie case study on which Rhythm and Hues has worked on.

Have been helping with Asifa India

- Have organized and arranged for monthly meetups for Asifa India, called CG meetups. Have been a part of the entire process. Right from arranging for the speaker / presenter, Handling registrations for people wanting to attend the meet, Sending mailers.

- In case of the venue being an outdoor location, coordinating for availability of the venue, coordinating for the AV and video setup.

- Have also participated in the Annual function of Asifa India, International Animation Day. Have coordinated for various things in the past 6 years. Have coordinated for acting and drawing workshops, Have coordinated for Asifa India merchandise, Have coordinated for stop motion stall, Have coordinated with presenters and speakers to present their work at the full day event.

Grey India

Was a copy-write intern with Grey world wide for a Month. Assisted a senior copy-writer on a couple of products to understand the nature of work.

Summary

    I have 6 years of experience in the VFX industry as a Production coordinator. Have worked with various teams of artists. Have the ability to understand their temperaments and also work with them as a team. Have been a part of various Hollywood movies.

Apart from production work I have also actively participated in Recruitment . I have been actively participating in the recruitment process for camera trackers and animators to the extent of checking demo-reels and doing telephone interviews. Have done presentations for institutes.

Along with this, I have also been helping out with Asifa India (non profit organization). Have been a part of arranging CG meetups and also helped out in the various aspects of International animation day that happens once a year.
