For this rotation we were taken to 3 different areas of customer service and support on the DePauw University Campus. They included:
Julian Tech Center- At this location, we showed how hardware and software was diagnosed and fixed for students, staff and faculty. We were also shown the tech areas that were around campus and shown the various technologies that are used on campus and basics on how to diagnose common technological problems.
Media Services-At this location we were shown how students are able to rent media equipment for class projects and the various duties of media services. They would include setting up media equipment for presentations and performances around campus, and diagnosing problems with the equipment if there is a problem for a performance or presentation.
Help Desk- This location worked closely with customer interaction. We were shown common problems that many people have with their laptop and software, and various ways to fix these problems. We were also shown how to assign jobs to the tech center and technicians
