With considerable experience in handling complex power projects, including those related to gas, coal, oil, renewable energy plants, energy efficient ecosystems, and power sales contracting, Guido Delgado ensures that his energy advisory company runs smoothly. In 1998, Mr. Delgado founded G.A.A. Delgado Inc. (GAAD), located in the Philippines, to provide consulting services to businesses, and his company continues to expand its influence in the power and energy sectors. Guido Delgado runs daily operations at GAAD, and he strives to promote investment and business opportunities throughout the country. Over the course of his career, Guido Delgado has amassed a number of notable achievements. He acted as President and Chief Executive Officer of National Power Corporation from 1994 to 1998 and Senior Advisor to the consortium that won National Transmission Corporation’s concession. Guido Delgado possesses substantial experience in investment banking, management development, and finance in the Philippines and around the world. In addition, he remains well versed in rural banking, strategic and financial advising, and microfinancing for numerous large corporations. Guido Delgado began his career in 1979 when he served as a Branch Manager for Private Development Corp. of the Philippines. He then assumed the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mindanao Development Bank for nearly a decade. Guido Delgado next joined the National Electrification Commission as a Member of the Board of Commissioners, and simultaneously served National Power Corporation. In 1999, he accepted the position of Program Director for SZOPAD Accelerated Enterprise Development Program, which served as part of the USAID and the Philippine government’s Growth with Equity in Mindanao Program. During that time, Guido Delgado also participated on the Interim Receivership Committee of National Steel Corporation, where he held responsibility for helping to preserve assets for the company. In addition, he developed a plan that involved bank loan debt conversions. The next step in his career took him to Micro Enterprise Bank, where he served as Treasurer for five years. He also acted as a Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee for Philex Mining Corporation. As Advisor to Monte Oro Grid Resources Corp. from 2007 to 2008, he successfully put together a team to bid for the privatization of National Transmission Corporation (TRANSCO) of the Philippines. Next, as its Senior Advisor, Mr. Delgado managed the take-over of TRANSCO.
