Processed applications for international students applying to partnered U.S. Universities. Entered data into Salesforce according to FERPA and student confidentiality for purposes of admission. Reviewed, requested, and gathered pertinent documents for admission and immigration. Communicated with advisers and students regarding questions and concerns about immigration and admission, and counseled students on pre-degree and degree program options for each partner university. Served as a liaison between Application Evaluators and the student.
Provided shipping, receiving, unpacking, storage, and verification and monitoring of both stock and non-stock Owens and Minor (O&M) items for the Qualcomm Health Center. Worked alongside the healthcare provider team to provide quality health services for the Qualcomm employees and their families. Monitored and verified inventory of medical supplies and devices for our Primary Care, Nutrition, and Physical Therapy offices. Assisted with checking in patients and ordering medical supplies for providers. Ordered and stocked medical supplies for Qualcomm fairs and events.
Guided AVID students to academic excellence and encouraged students to become active participants in their learning and personal development in order to prepare them to be successful in higher education. Encouraged learning through Cornell note-taking and the WICR method.
Initiated contact with incoming first-year UC San Diego students from very diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, to provide academic support and counseling. Assisted students in their class selection and enrollment of their first quarter at the university. Scheduled and facilitated individual meetings with students as needed before and during the program. Referred students to resources at UC San Diego in order to provide them with the most accurate information about enrollment, student life, housing and dining, and financial aid.
With the collaboration of other student staff members, developed and supported student-initiated programs and events that focus on access to higher education for students from low-income and disadvantaged communities. Provided leadership and developmental support for SPACES year-long access programs through staff training and workshops. Maintained confidential student records and data in order to provide tracking, mentoring, and support. Collaborated with other entities and staff at UC San Diego to implement the annual Overnight Program, Summer Summit Program, and annual College Tour.
Trained and developed understanding of how neurofeedback can be an effective treatment for many psychological disorders and illnesses, including post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, insomnia, depression, eating disorders, and substance abuse. Researched body image, weight consciousness, and eating disturbance among young South Asian women under the guidance of Divya Kakaiya and Professor Arianne Miller.

Worked collaboratively in a team to organize and implement the Transfer and Freshman Orientations. Assisted other TMC staff with the transfer and freshmen student programs, such as Welcome Week and teaching the UnOlympics Dance.
