Portfolio was an overly complex, outdated tool for parents to use to find child care in Pennsylvania.  Streamlining the search process around end users resulted in a 30% increase in daily searches, while mobile usage increased by 40%.

  • Start with users— While collaborating with our client, developed key user personas which shaped the final design. This resulted in two search methods—a simple and fast search for busy parents on the go, and an advanced search for government employees who required more details up front.
  • Develop wireframesI developed initial wireframes with responsive design in both desktop and mobile views. I proposed a design which meets a modern user's expectations including new features such as Google Autofill, Google Maps integration, and location-based searching.
  • Iterate and Implement—With feedback from clients and parents, I refined the wireframes into detailed UI mockups. Once the design was finalized, I led a team of developers in production, and later led a team of specialists in systems integration testing to ensure the quality of our product.
