I am a student at UW-Whitewater majoring in Speech Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Advertising. I am experienced in working with people of all different backgrouds and would love to continue that in my future career. I am excited to put myself out there and show people what I am capable of.
I love to sing and do volunteer work in my spare time. I have been a volunteer at Special Methods in Learning Equine Skills, Inc. for over ten years now, which is an organization that teaches people with physical and mental disabilities how to ride horses as a means for fun and therapy. I find the work that I do there to be very rewarding.
I also am involved on my campus. I was in Habitat for Humanity last year. I also am a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, and am currently the Philanthropy Chairwoman. It is my job to oversee that the 70 women in my chapter do community service and help raise money for our national philanthropy.
Other community service efforts have been my participating in raiing money for the Polar Plunge and participating in UW-Whitewater's Make A Difference Day.
I would like to get a position in a paid internship, preferably in the field of public relations. I am also currently seeking jobs in public relations in the southeastern Wisconsin area. I would prefer to work with a non-profit, but I am open to all types of companies.
