Student Photojournalist

Harding Nicaragua Campaign

Harding University faculty member Andrew Baker, director of the Institute for Church and Family Ministry, introduced a new communication course the spring semester of 2010.

The course involved traveling to Jinotega, Nicaragua, to work through a vital part of the community in the city, Mision Para Christo.

Each student used his or her journalistic talents to capture stories of the local people. As a group, we are working to create a publication and companion website to communicate this data.

I was able to develop my

-photography,

-interview and

-blog skills during the week-long trip.

Throughout the semester, we will continue to create cohesive copy until a publication is formed.
