 In Leogane, Haiti, I worked as an advocate and public health educator at the non-profit organization. Being compassionate and empathetic with various patients there was pertinent. Organizing medications, keeping records, and examining potential patients were some of the daily tasks that were done. Interacting and learning with people from different cultures aided me in my socializing skills.

Learned to prepare bio gel scaffolds, cell cultures, and use Image J lab software. As well as organizing lab equipment and software files.  Worked in collaboration with grad student and other lab personnel to run lab tests. Getting familiar with lab protocols, safety, and research was integral.
