Headquartered in Cambridge, MA the company employs over 550 with 310 at the Wilmington site. Commercial products include Vivitrol® (sustained release naltrexone) and Risperdal Consta® (sustained release risperidone), injectable products based on the company’s proprietary Medisorb

With a staff of four direct reports and as the head of a highly matrixed interface with corporate, lead manufacturing, quality, tech services engineering/maintenance and support personnel for the production of all commercial and clinical dosage forms for worldwide markets. Act as technical advisor and liaison to strategic partner (Amylin) site in West Chester, Ohio.

Director of Parenteral Manufacturing Operations (2002-2004)

Responsible for plant operations in Nutley, New Jersey. Overall operations consisted of approximately 45 employees. Manufacturing encompassed, sterile liquids and packaging operations for global distribution. A significant portion of the operations was devoted to the launch of a new AIDs product and dosage form production of Oncology products.

Ensured all Antibiotic facilities, production equipment, processes and pharmaceutical products/packaging met or exceeded cGMP, Roche manufacturing standards, and global regulatory requirements. Developed, recommended, and implemented functionally diverse business objectives and policies ensuring factory aligned with corporate strategy and business objectives in support of antibiotic sales of $600MM. Led decision making and achievement of goals by demonstrating depth and breadth of knowledge of business and customers. Demonstrated leadership and team management skill in cross-functional environments by motivating subordinates to exceed business, factory, and individual performance expectations.

Over 30 years experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry focused on Manufacturing and Supply Chain activities. Most recently responsible for manufacturing and all support activities for Alkermes. These duties included Manufacturing (parenteral formulation and filling of Microspheres), Quality, Site operations (engineering/maintenance), Human Resources and Supply Chain.
