These are the words that describe Ganon Ritchie the best.

My story is a very diverse one. I was born in Seoul, South Korea. When I was four months old, I was adopted and was brought to Indiana by my parents, Don and Pat Ritchie. One of my goals is to one day travel back to South Korea and learn about my birth culture and find my birth parents.

When I was in high school, music was my life. I was involved in Marching Band for five years. My senior year, I was drum major of the entire band ensemble and section leader for the euphoniums. Being involved with music has taught me about time commitment, work ethic, and working together as a group which has made me who I am today.

I initially applied to Purdue University because my passion was Pharmacy. I learned that Pharmacy was not what I wanted to do the rest of my life, so I came to Purdue and I am majoring in History, with a new life choice in becoming a lawyer. I eventually want to become an Immigration Law as my full-time because of my diverse experience as a Korean-American. While at Purdue, I am involved with the Music Department in both Concert Band and Athletic Band. I also have a job with Housing and Food Services which I began in 2007 and have since become Student Supervisor. I am graduating in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

Nathan Myers

My manager since I have become a student supervisor.

Whitney Walton

History Professor during my senior year of college. We had frequent contact with each other and have kept in close contact since.

LaDema Poppa

A family friend and fellow church member.

Cheryl Hahn

I have known Ms. Hahn since I entered high school. Though she was the choir teacher, I still had frequent contact with her in music. Her son, Rigel, is one of my best friends.

As I left high school, I kept in frequent contact with her and Rigel. She has become one of my closest contacts and influential people.

Harold Leninger

Harold has been my pastor in church growing up. Over the years he has been a mentor to my family and I and we have invited him over many times to our house. His wife, Andrea, is also a very good friend of ours and one of my most beloved teachers.

Ishbah Cox

I have known Professor Cox since I joined the band in 2008. He has been my band director for most of my college playing career. Being a fellow euphonium player, I have gone to him for many questions. I like his style in how he speaks of importance as us becoming better musicans and even better students.

Mindi Seyfried

Though I have only worked at McAlister's Deli for a year, Mindi has been an inspiration to my work ethic. She sees me as a hard worker and frequently uses me as an example of the, "model employee."

Letters of Recommendation

Frequent communication is vital to my job as a supervisor. I must communicate with the other supervisors to make sure tasks are complete and that work flow is going well. Also communication is also important with cooks in assuring that they are not in a panic and that each station has enough food on the line for operational service.
At my job with Housing and Food Services, I was promoted to Student Supervisor and have been in charge with making sure the dining court runs smoothly during open operations. Also I am in charge of about twenty students during my shifts and must keep them motivated and on task.
Customer Service
At all three of my jobs, I have been involved in frequent customer interaction. Whether that contact be direct or indirect, I have experienced it all.
