A neuropsychologist with more than 15 years in private practice, teaching, and consulting, Gregory Thwaites, Ph.D., currently splits his time between a wide range of professional activities in and around the Greely, Colorado, area. Dr. Gregory Thwaites earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Colorado State University (CSU) and collaborated on multiple articles published in the Journal of Counseling Psychology, such as “Social skills and cognitive-relaxation approaches to general anger reduction.” Following his graduation from CSU in 1996, Dr. Gregory Thwaites entered into a clinical internship at Denver Health Medical Center, followed by a clinical neuropsychology fellowship at Duke University Hospital in North Carolina. Returning to Colorado upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Thwaites launched a multifaceted neuropsychology practice, through which he provides a number of evaluative and consulting services to patients, families, and health care entities.Apart from his private practice, Gregory Thwaites, Ph.D., teaches in an adjunct capacity at CSU, where he provides clinical supervision to Ph.D. candidates. An active volunteer as well, Dr. Thwaites evaluates students for sports-related concussions at the University of Northern Colorado, Mountain View High School, and various middle and high schools in and around Greely. Dr. Thwaites has served as President of the Colorado Neuropsychological Society, sat on the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Association of Colorado, and maintains affiliation with the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the Clinical Neuropsychology Division of the American Psychological Association.
