Graeme Queen

A talented information technology professional in Portland, Oregon, Graeme Queen has been working within the field of IT for almost two decades. He began his career as a software engineer in the CRM and call center areas, before moving on to become a systems consultant for PacifiCorp. He quickly advanced to the position of manager of systems analysis and development, where he gained valuable experience managing the software delivery lifecycle and leading a team of software developers, architects, and analysts. After a few years, he joined Standard Insurance Company as the director of IT core engineering and eventually took on his current role of senior director of IT solution delivery at the company. Under Graeme Queen’s guidance, the IT solution delivery teams provide support and application development services to Standard Insurance’s major business units.

Outside of work, Mr. Queen is an avid runner. He has completed several 5K and 10K runs, along with six marathons. He most recently ran a marathon in Portland in three hours and 19 minutes and is only four minutes away from qualifying for the Boston Marathon. He hopes to beat the qualifying time at a marathon in Newport, Oregon, that he plans on attending in May. Every week he runs between 40 and 60 miles in preparation for these marathons. In addition to running, Mr. Queen coaches his daughter’s soccer team. Although he hasn’t played the sport since he was around 14 years old, he enjoys teaching the team and has helped the girls develop their skills and compete well in their games.
