PolymerLatex was one the world's leading producers of synthetic latex with sites in Germany, Italy, Great Britain and Finland. It was created in 1996 as a joint venture of Bayer, Degussa and Röhm dispersions divisions and supplies customers in the adhesives, carpet, construction, glove, molded foam, paper and textile industries worldwide. Sales revenues in 2007 were EUR 481 million and the company employed some 600 people.

With a turnover of EUR 20 billion (2005) and about 35,000 employees, Celesio is the European market leader in pharmaceutical distribution. Celesio Solutions was created in 2003 as a new division to provide comprehensive logistics, distribution and added value services to the global pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

As Director Principal Relations responsible for establishing, maintaining and developing the relationships with pharma and biotech companies on top decision-making level and for coordinating the activities of Celesio Solutions affiliates in different countries towards their international customers. This strategic role encompassed key account management, commercial and business development aspects and required very extensive travel.


  • Defined and implemented the strategic approach for current and future business development
  • Set up the infrastructure and introduced the coordination of all affiliates' activities with existing and potential customers
