  •  Took traffic counts on an existing signalized traffic network.
  • Optimized the signalized traffic network, using SYNCHRO, for 20 year growth by considering combinations of geometries and signal timings.
  • Considering pedestrian and vehicular movements, made geometric changes to exisiting roads using AASHTO standards to maximize safety and progression.
  • Worked with six others in different fields to provide a final product for presentation.
  • Also have taken classes in Construction Management, Introductory Pavement Design, Design of Concrete Structures, and Geometric Highway Design.

Civil Engineering

Michigan State University

Graduated December 2009 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and with an

additional major in Mathematics.

Aug 2004 - May 2006

Western Michigan University

Completed four semesters of undergraduate study.

I used Synchro as part of my final project at Michigan State. I am very familiar with the concepts and basic elements of the program.

I used AutoCad frequently during my internships and throughout high school and college. I am very proficient in 2D drawing and have done a little 3D work.

Microsoft Office

Includes Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.  I am very proficient in Word and Excel and have a good knowledge of Powerpoint.  I have also done a little database work in Access.

I enjoy many sports including hockey and college basketball in paticular.  I enjoy most anything that includes a challenge.  I like staying active by running and lifting weights.  I also enjoy relaxing by watching tv and playing video games.

I am looking for a postion where I can learn and prepare to become a P.E.,  and a company that can provide opportunities for advancement.

I am excited to take on challenging jobs.  I am confident I can apply what I know and learn quickly to be a productive member of any team.
