Duties and Responsibilities

  • Man the Onboard Credit Desk during service hours and at embarkation, as required.
  • Obtain guest Credit Card registrations and handle changes in credit cards and/or method of payment.
  • Accept, verify and record guest cash deposits, where applicable.
  • Batch postings to guest accounts (i.e. Freestyle Gratuities)
  • System account balancing and Close Day procedures. Perform nightly close day procedures.
  • Credit card processing, including obtaining manual authorizations.
  • Update Daily Revenue Summary.
  • Monitor guest accounts with cash deposits and declined credit card authorizations, (closing accounts with no method of payment).
  • Verification of system accounts checks and transfer of balances as per company policies.
  • Audit all promotional charges, ensuring compliance to company policy.
  • Balance all revenue areas on a daily/nightly basis.
  • Report generation, back up and reset of the POS on a nightly basis.
  • Manning of Foreign Exchange desk and operation of Foreign Exchange system on appropriate vessels.Daily balancing of Foreign Exchange float.
  • Handle issues regarding guest disputes, queries and statement copies.
  • Prepare system account checks for ship’s management approval.Ensure appropriate signature/approval received for all checks to be included in the voyage package.
  • Other duties as assigned and approved by the Financial Accountant and/or Chief Financial Accountant.

Crew Activities & S.T.Y.L.E. Coordinator


Basic Purpose as CASC

  • Oversee, service and monitor all aspects of Crew Activities and S.T.Y.L.E. on board the vessel, making recommendations where necessary to improve quality of life, work and overall crew morale. Individual will assist in the development and implementation of programs, activities and policies that provide the highest levels of comfort and satisfaction to crew while on board the vessel.
  •  Provide readily accessible support and assistance to crew and Senior Management in all areas of Crew Activities & S.T.Y.L.E, and to act as liaison between the ship and shoreside management in the areas of Crew Activities & S.T.Y.L.E. culture.
  • Facilitate the orientation process of new crew members, working closely with ship’s management to ensure that new crew members receive proper orientation and welcome assistance upon boarding the ship.
  • Monitor and maintain the Crew Welfare budget, overseeing the accounting process and overall expenditures on board, ensuring that monthly & annual budget is achieved.
  •  Handles ordering of items, inventory and pricing of new items of crew shop.Liaise with the Inventory Accountant and CFA in monitoring stock for Crew Shop, laundry machines, crew gym and related equipment / facilities.
  • Daily communication with Hotel Director & Staff Captain to discuss operations, budgets, proposals & issues.
  • To coordinate and maintain Crew Service Award Program.  Closely coordinates with CFA and Shoreside Crew Welfare Manager.
  • Conduct routine inspections of crew areas, cabins & facilities, such as crew bar, smoking / non-smoking lounges, laundry facilities, crew gym, library, internet & mess rooms.
  • Communicate feedback to ship’s management regarding quality, variety and availability of crew meals in the mess areas. Suggestions from crew shall be taken into consideration and communicated.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure good quality of the crew library, crew shop, video rentals, and other rental programs on board the vessel (bikes, computers, etc.)
  • Coordinate and support crew learning opportunities such as computer classes & language classes.
  • Coordinate and develop monthly Crew Newsletter on board the vessel, communicating company news, ship-related events & activities, crew news such as birthdays & anniversaries.
  • To plan and organize company sponsored crew parties & events, such as BBQ’s, dinners, etc.
  • To work in conjunction with Ship’s Management and the Shoreside Crew Welfare Manager in processing Family & Friends Cruise Requests and Comp Requests submitted on board.

Technical Secretary Safety

  • Coordinates closely with the Safety Manager, Fire Fighter, Environmental and Security Officer in all Training related matters.
  • Handles schedule of trainings and distribution of list to Department Heads.
  • Ensure that all safety cards with emergency duty are assigned to crew with valid certificates according to SEMS.
  • Monitor and handles the training records of all crew onboard and properly encoded to MAPS and Fidelio system.
  • Ensure proper filing of crew certificates and be ready for audit.
  • Ensures that all crew members coming onboard has specific certificates required by STCW.
  • Responsible in updating and posting the passenger and crew manifest according to assembly stations every after embarkation.
  • Maintain and update safety notice board on all upcoming safety alert from SEMS.
  • Be well familiar with MAPS and Fidelio.

  • Updates all forms and checklists according to company's Policies & Procedures and ensure that all updated documents are properly distributed in each department.

  • Monitor trainings of crew missing required courses and coordinates with Safety Manager for schedule of training.
  • Responsible in assigning blue cards to all crew.
  • Provides Secretarial job to the Safety Manager and Staff Captain. Has been assigned as Captain Secretary for two contracts.
