Mindfulness for All Ages

  • Teaching a wide range of mindful practices to bring awareness into the present moment with openness through classes, workshops, trainings, and individual/family support,
  • Supporting students to integrate mindfulness and emotional self-awareness into their lives,
  • Making mindfulness accessible for everyone regardless of previous experience, age, temperament, etc.

Mindful Parenting

  • Teaching relational mindfulness with a focus on awareness, acceptance, and insight in the context of family relationships,
  • Helping parents to understand their child's development and attachment needs,
    Fostering parents ability to balance loving presence with clear leadership to build a safe and healthy family container,

Transforming challenging family patterns with emotional work, awareness, and understanding.

Professional offerings include

Mindfulness Classes & Programs: Mindful practices build awareness, self-regulation, and relational skills.

Parenting Education Classes & Programs: Emotional skills, mindfulness-based self-regulation, and child development combine to help parents create connected, clear, and supportive relationships with children.

Mindfulness-based School Programs for Teachers & Students. Explicit instruction to develop focus,concentration, and self-regulation tools supports school success and social-emotional development.

In a variety of roles at The School in Rose Valley, I:

  • Planned and taught creative, engaging curricula in academic and social-emotional and social responsibility areas,
  • Designed and used ongoing formal and informal assessment tools to understand and meet the needs of each student and group,
  • Created and implemented skillful interventions to support students at all ability levels,
    Worked collaboratively with students, parents and colleagues and mentored and supported teaching colleagues,
  • Served on Board of Directors and various committees as a school leader.

Regional Environmental Education Program Coordinator

College Settlement of Philadelphia
  • Planned, marketed, and taught teacher in-service workshops to public school districts in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania using a state-recommended environmental education curriculum,
  • Worked with teams of teachers to integrate environmental education into the classroom.

  • Taught science and ecology in outdoor school for public and private; urban, suburban, and rural schools,
  • Led outdoor activities including hikes, campfires, overnight trips, and caving expeditions,
  • Facilitated low ropes and group problem-solving courses.

Graduate of Mindful Schools Year-long Certification Program which incorporates a deep personal mindfulness training and an intensive training for working with youth mindfully and sharing mindfulness with youth.

Happy Teachers Will Change the World

Graduate of Happy Teachers Will Change the World Educator's Retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh. Recipient of Five Mindfulness Trainings in the Plum Village tradition.
