  • Establish clear direction and focus for programs bringing mindfulness and parenting support to individuals, groups, and organizations.
  • Work responsively with community by listening deeply to needs of students and community members and offering specialized classes and workshops,
  • Manage communications through all levels of organization,
  • Create outreach, marketing, web and social media presence,
  • Schedule and plan calendar with hosting organizations (including schools, programs, organizations, mindfulness centers, yoga studios) as well as with students and parents of students,

  • Meet each student, partner, and organization where they actually are and support them to make meaningful, self-initiated changes to decrease stress and improve quality of life,
  • Teach mindfulness with a focus on building personal awareness and bringing peace into real life to individuals, classes, and groups,
  • Teach conscious parenting with a focus on cultivating self-awareness and self-regulation, parenting for emotional intelligence, and supporting parents to build constructive and healthy relationships with children,
  • Provide ongoing mindfulness and parenting support through written class materials and follow ups.


  • Provide individualized emotional support for people of all ages including deep listening, social-emotional skill building, conflict resolution, relational communication, and more.


Mindfulness Classes & Programs: Mindful practices to build the capacity to create space between what happens to us and how we respond.

Parenting Education Classes and Programs: Emotional skills, mindfulness-based self-regulation, and child development combine to help parents create connected, clear, and supportive relationships with children.

Mindfulness-based School Programs for Teachers & Students. Explicit instruction to build the focus, concentration, and self-regulation that support school success and social-emotional development.

    • Connect with struggling students, helping them to develop confidence, competence, and genuine interest in math,
    • Assess math skills and learning style, identify learning gaps,
    • Plan and provide practical math support for elementary students to build conceptual understanding, computational skills, number sense, problem-solving skills, and more,

    As a Third and Fourth Grade teacher (August 2005-June 2010):

    • Designed and taught academic and social/emotional curriculum to third and fourth graders,
    • Observed and assessed students' learning, planned individualized curricula as needed based on learning styles and skill development,
    • Created innovative communication tools to increase parent awareness of and support for progressive principles including class blog, weekly emails, and parent visiting days,
    • Worked closely with parents to support individualized student learning, 
    • Created mindfulness curriculum integrated with content areas, particularly with math and social-emotional learning, 
    • Mentored new teachers and colleagues,
    • Built community on all levels, within classroom, with colleagues, parents, and administrative staff.

    As a Preschool teacher (August 2002-June 2004) and Science teacher (August 1992-June 1997):

    • Planned and created curriculum with special interests in emergent literacy and numeracy, nature education, science, and emotional regulation,
    • Worked collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues, integrating science into classrooms through shared science and math curricula and integration with class field and camping trips.
    • Served as preschool Team Leader, instituting shared observation and feedback process, regular collaborative meetings, team building experiences, shared readings and reflective practices.
