District Technology and Television Coordinator

Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, budget and execution of all IT functions for a public school district. These functions include student and staff desktop/laptop computers, servers, network, email system, security system, phone system, as well as being responsible for a local access television station.

  • Network Administrator: Maintain and support district Wide Area Network, including maintaining email, internet and Distance Learning connectivity. Maintain file and print servers District-wide.

  • Manager: Maintain all District databases Student Information, Human Resources, Budget, Supervise one full-time and two part-time technicians. Supervise District Webmaster. Create and submit annual budget for technology at the District. Maintain and support 1, 800 Windows and Macintosh computers in three locations. Established and maintain Google Apps for Education domain for staff and student email, calendar, and document sharing. Provide support for District phone system and security camera system. Evaluate and specify equipment, software, and vendors for all technology related purchases. periodic updates to Board of Education on technology initiatives. Develop and submit District Technology Plan to state Coordinate annual district technology showcase,“ TechSpo.”
  • Help Desk: Established a computer Help Desk. Analyzed needs, developed procedures, created database application to support and track hardware & software service requests.
  • Trainer: Analyze needs, develop curriculum and deliver ongoing training programs for teachers and office staff.

  • TV Coordinator: Launched township’s local access channel from inception: including planning, developing, implementing, promoting, broadcasting and day-to-day operations. Shoot, edit, and broadcast variety of productions including student performances and district administration informational videos.

  • E-mail Administrator: Established County e-mail system including all client/server hardware and software. Configured, established and maintained County e-mail.
