I know all the "basic" programs like the back of my hand - Microsoft Office (Access, PowerPoint, Word, etc), iTunes, Wordpress, Quickbooks, virus protection and more. Additionally, I am relatively well-versed in Adobe PhotoShop and occasionally dabble in web design.

Writing and Editorial

My first byline was at age 10 and I've been writing nonstop ever since. Not only was I always a contributing writer to my school's newspaper but I've held three editorial positions for major companies, have experience writing press materials for books and companies alike and have been published on numerous occasions over the past few years. I am comfortable writing more than anything else. Regardless of my topic, my writing is engaging, passionate and always informed.

I can find anything, especially contact information. During my internship at I single-handedly created a media and subscriber database with thousands of names which is still used by the entire company. This was created entirely through internet research and we never once purchased a "list".   My research skills pretty much stem from my Sociology major where I designed and carried out my own study of 3,000 college women over the span of 18 months. I love information and know all the little tricks to find exactly what is needed.

Social Media

I spend way too much time on my own personal profiles (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc) but also on learning what other people in the digital arena are up to and am learning something every day. Social media is such an incredibly powerful tool for any industry. As a career path I've chosen to focus on publishing and social media, which basically entails helping authors, publishers and newspapers use online tools to better connect with their audience. That being said, I've helped a few small businesses along the way kick start their own web presence.

I am incredibly passionate about helping authors and companies promote their work through social media. I've already helped clients including the New York Times, Digital Book World, HarperCollins, and others figure out their best social media strategy. I am young in business (just graduated college), and I'm proud of all I've done so far, but continue to learn a tremendous amount by gaining the perspective of people who have been in the publishing business longer than I have. So I welcome projects from anyone with the same passion for books and technology...
