Account Management

I have extensive experience of account management which has enabled me to gain skills with forging strong working relationships. Working for Jobcentreplus I was responsible for the account management of employers. One of my key accounts was The NHS Trust at local level, I built and maintained a strong business relationship with the NHS which had never been achieved in the Thames Valley region before.   My hard work with The NHS meant I was awarded a performance related bonus and led to The NHS being nominated for a LEP Award (Local Employer Partnership Award) for our business partnership achieving job outcomes. I was personally invited by the Clinical resourcing Manager to attend the ceremony in Chichester in July 2010.   This was a very proud career achievement for me.

I have held a full clean UK driving licence for 11 years. I enjoy driving and this is a quick method of transport should work require me to travel.

Problem Solving

I have the natural ability to problem solve to achieve positive outcomes in order to achieve maximum results. After working at Jobcentreplus in more often than not challenging situations, I am excellent at handling complaints to resolve issues/challenges smoothly and to the satisfaction of everybody concerned. This promotes customer service and a higher level of work productivity. My conflict resolution skills are second to none and I am able to 'read' situations before 'flash points/triggers' occur thus preventing potential challenges - this skill has enabled me to prevent some difficult situations from spiraling out of control.

When I worked at Jobcentreplus I had to deal with a diverse mix of people ranging from customers, employers, colleagues right through to government ministers which demonstrates my ability to communicate effectively on various levels. I have the ability to use appropriate body language to suit circumstances whilst maintaining eye contact with open and flexible attitude which means I am approachable. I am able to listen and hear people, to take information on board, follow instruction with the intelligence to judge situations requiring confidentiality this means I am able to work efficiently. I have expert verbal and written (clerical and electronically) communication skills, with a professional and polite telephone manner and 'can do' approach which enables me to work concisely and deliver the best customer service possible.

I am proficient with IT, PC, E-Mail and in house database systems which is a vital skill for any job and this knowledge enables me to perform any computer or internet based task with ease. I have 1+ years experience of updating, maintaining and editing website content, with extensive experience (6+ years) of Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Access). I have previously supported colleagues confidently and competently with IT issues. I have studied IT at G.C.S.E, AS and A Level at Reading College.
